Kamakura March Clothes

1. You are advised to wear a fleece-lined sweatshirt or sweater because of the cool temperatures at the beginning of March. With large temperature fluctuations between day and night, layering is key. Therefore, you can also layer a light down jacket on top for added warmth. For the second half, a 3-in-1 jacket is a perfect option, as it can easily be adjusted to suit the weather and it is also wind-proof.

2. For pants, fleece-lined trousers are a great choice, or you can wear thermal leggings under jeans. If you plan to catch the sunrise over the sea during your Kamakura trip in March 2026, make sure to wear fleece-lined underwear for extra warmth. Stylish girls can still wear a skirt – just be sure to pair it with warm leggings.

3. As for shoes, comfortable sneakers are recommended as there are lots of outdoor activities in Kamakura. If you prefer skirts, long boots can be a fashionable yet practical choice.

4. Don’t forget to bring a scarf and a hat. They can help keep the wind at bay and go with your outfit for taking perfect photos.

5. It is recommended to pack rain gear because of occasional rain.
